A Motor Claims Assessor is responsible for evaluating vehicle insurance claims to determine the extent of the insurer’s liability. This role involves inspecting damaged vehicles, reviewing repair estimates, assessing accident reports, and liaising with repairers, claimants, and insurance providers.
The assessor ensures claims are handled efficiently, fairly, and in line with policy terms. Strong analytical skills, technical knowledge of vehicles, and attention to detail are essential. The role may also involve detecting potential fraud and negotiating repair or settlement costs.
The role
Our Australian-based client is looking for an experienced Claims Assessor / Loss Adjuster to review damage to motor vehicles and take responsibility for the assessing phase of the claim’s management process, in summary this role will see you:
- Manage an insurance claim, including assessment reports, completion of scope of works and costing estimation,
- Interact with Customers, Clients, Trades, and internal staff to build strong relationships and capture critical information to resolve queries in relation to insurance claims,
- Conduct your activity in a timely manner,
- Prepare your own assessment reports to be sent directly to the client,
- Maintain regular communication with Management on technical or customer service issues
