About the role
As the Design Team Leader at Al Abbar Aluminum Philippines, Inc., you will be responsible for leading a team of designers to create innovative and functional architectural designs. In this full-time position based in Pasig City, Metro Manila, you will play a crucial role in driving the company's design vision and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality projects.
What you'll be doing- Oversee and coordinate the work of the design team, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and to the highest standards.
- Coordinate the work with subordinates and liaise with the Design Manager on all aspects of the project.
- Ensure that all drawing details are drawn to suit Job Specifications, Architectural and Engineering Drawings, Engineer's calculations and Tender Requirements.
- Review and check shop and fabrication drawings prepared by the design team.
- Responsible for timely submittal of shop drawings, Material Take-Off, and Cutting List.
- Responsible for maintaining necessary specifications for standard and non-standard construction.
- Coordinate with Design Manager to discuss technical matters as and when required.
- Participate in the company's strategic planning and decision-making processes, providing valuable input on design-related matters.
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 - 8 years of experience as Design Team Leader in the design of Aluminum Glass Curtain Wall.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.
- Proficient in using design software such as AutoCAD 2D & 3D.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
