Job Description

The Accounting Assistant/Bookkeeper will support the finance team in managing day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping tasks. This role ensures the accuracy of financial records, assists with reporting, and helps maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of handling multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable
  • Maintain and update general ledger entries
  • Process invoices, receipts, and expense reports
  • Prepare and reconcile bank statements
  • Assist in payroll preparation and employee reimbursements
  • Monitor and maintain accurate filing of financial documents
  • Support in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
  • Provide assistance during audits and other financial reviews
  • Perform other related administrative and accounting tasks as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred)
  • At least 12 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related role
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and accounting software
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work
  • Good understanding of basic accounting principles and practices
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
