Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Commerce, Law, or a related discipline
  • 1-2 years of direct Australian insolvency, restructuring, or financial recovery experience
  • Hands-on experience supporting Australian accounting and insolvency engagements
  • Working knowledge of insolvency administration, investigations, asset realization, statutory reporting, and financial recovery processes
  • Experience preparing documentation or coordinating submissions with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC)
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while collaborating effectively within a team
  • CPA, CA, or an equivalent accounting qualification is advantageous
Responsibilities
  • Carry out financial and operational investigations for assigned insolvency engagements
  • Review financial statements, accounting records, and overall financial positions to support case assessment and recovery decisions
  • Prepare and review receipt authorities, payment authorities, initial investigation correspondence, and required statutory documentation
  • Compile and lodge reports and regulatory documents with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission
  • Draft statutory reports for creditors and other relevant parties
  • Manage professional communication with creditors, employees, directors, and external stakeholders while serving as a key contact throughout engagements
  • Support the identification, management, and realization of company or individual assets
  • Prepare formal demand letters and related recovery correspondence
  • Assist with the continued trading activities of businesses under administration or external control
  • Conduct stock counts and verify company inventory and other physical assets
