AU Intermediate Accountant (with Tax experience)

About this role…
Intermediate Accountant will provide financial services and will be required to:
Role Purpose/Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
- Statutory Compliance Work
o Complete or co-ordinate the completion of statutory compliance work, which may include:
o Completes a review of all financial statements;o Completion of income tax returns and all schedules;
o Working for both small and larger groups of clients e.g. traders, investors, manufacturers, retailers and all types of entities including family trusts, companies, individuals, superannuation funds and partnerships;
o Guide and assist staff as required in completing this work;o Review the final work for completeness and accuracy before submitting for manager review.
- Mentoring of Junior Staff
o Provide mentoring to junior staff, including identifying and monitoring development and assisting staff to fulfil their full potential
o Work cooperatively with others, valuing and respecting the contribution of others, providing a positive influence
o Give feedback on performance of junior staff, ensuring that the junior staff member has an understanding of their strength and weakness areas and a clear path for improvement
o Effectively delegate appropriate work to junior staff
o Assist junior staff with their workflow management
o Run training sessions or provide 1to1 training as directed
Qualifications / Skills:
- Graduate of any accounting related courses
- Must have at least 3 year's relevant work experience in Australian accounting firm
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- High level of accuracy in data input and diligence in checking.
