Job Title: QA Engineer (Manual Testing | Selenium | API Testing)Location: Alabang, Muntinlupa
Work Set-Up and Schedule: 2x a month on site and Mid Shift
Position Summary:
The QA Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of web and mobile applications within a fast-paced and regulated healthcare technology environment. This role focuses heavily on manual testing, end-to-end test execution, API validation, and structured test documentation, while also supporting automation initiatives using tools such as Selenium and Cypress.
The ideal candidate has strong experience in software testing methodologies, test case design, defect management, and Agile delivery environments. Exposure to healthcare, pharmaceutical, or regulated software environments is highly preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform manual testing for web and mobile applications, ensuring functionality, usability, compatibility, and data integrity
- Develop, maintain, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test reports based on business and technical requirements
- Conduct functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and API testing across multiple platforms
- Validate APIs, backend services, and database integrations using tools such as Postman
- Support automation testing initiatives using Selenium, Cypress, Appium, or similar frameworks
- Identify, document, track, and triage defects using tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or TestRail
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to ensure product quality throughout the SDLC
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and release discussions
- Perform cross-browser, cross-device, and compatibility testing to ensure seamless user experience
- Contribute to validation activities, risk-based testing, and audit-ready documentation in regulated environments
- Support continuous improvement of QA processes, testing standards, and quality assurance best practices
- Assist in root cause analysis and help ensure timely resolution of defects and issues
- Mentor junior QA team members and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team
- Maintain strong attention to detail while managing multiple testing activities and timelines
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
- 3–7 years of professional experience in Software Testing or Quality Assurance
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Defect Life Cycle, and QA methodologies
- Proven experience in manual testing of web and API-based applications
- Hands-on experience creating test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and end-to-end testing documentation
- Experience with black box and white box testing methodologies
- Familiarity with automation testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Appium, or similar frameworks
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman
- Basic understanding of backend technologies including Python, APIs, and databases
- Experience working within Agile and Scrum environments
- Familiarity with bug-tracking and test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, ALM, or TestRail
- Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter is an advantage
- Exposure to healthcare, pharmaceutical, or regulated software environments (FDA, HIPAA, GxP) is highly preferred
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment
