Medical Billing Specialist - HealthCare (Account Payables)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Medical Billing Specialist – Payment Reconciliation to join our healthcare BPO operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing payment reconciliation activities, processing healthcare reimbursements, resolving billing discrepancies, and ensuring accurate payment posting across insurance and patient accounts.

This role requires experience in healthcare billing, medical accounts receivable, payment posting, and reconciliation processes within a fast-paced BPO or shared services environment.

• Reconcile daily payment transactions, insurance reimbursements, electronic remittance advices (ERAs), electronic funds transfers (EFTs), and patient payments
• Match received payments against invoices, claims, accounts receivable balances, and billing records
• Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies including underpayments, overpayments, denied claims, duplicate payments, and unapplied cash
• Process, validate, and accurately post payments in healthcare billing and accounting systems
• Coordinate with insurance companies, healthcare providers, clients, and internal departments to resolve reconciliation and billing concerns
• Prepare reconciliation reports, aging reports, variance analyses, and audit documentation
• Support month-end closing activities and financial reporting requirements
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, client policies, and internal control standards
• Monitor transaction accuracy and maintain service quality aligned with BPO KPIs and SLAs
• Identify process improvement opportunities and support automation initiatives for reconciliation workflows

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field
• At least 1–3 years of experience in healthcare billing, payment reconciliation, medical accounts receivable, or finance operations in a BPO/shared services environment
• Strong understanding of healthcare insurance claims, EOBs (Explanation of Benefits), ERAs, EFTs, and payment posting processes
• Knowledge of reconciliation procedures and basic accounting principles
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and healthcare billing/accounting systems
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare BPO environment
• Willing to work onsite in Libis, Quezon City on a US schedule
