Privacy Incident Management Process Manager
You will be responsibile of the Privacy Incident Response Team to escalate to the appropriate key stakeholders, provide coordination to resolve the even, give guidance on containing the event and remediating those impacted individuals when an event occurs that may expose our customer or client information.
As a Privacy Incident Management Process Manager within the Consumer and Community Banking Incident Response team, you will play a crucial role in overseeing privacy events caused by workforce members across various sectors including Consumer and Community Banking, Asset and Wealth Management, and Corporate Functions.Your role is part of a vast global network of privacy professionals, monitoring emerging trends in privacy events that could potentially lead to inefficiencies in systems, processes, or controls. You will provide support to the Privacy Incident Program across multiple business lines, including Consumer and Community Banking, Corporate Functions, Asset Management, and Wealth Management.
Acting as a team lead, you will work with minimal direction to resolve escalated privacy incidents and related issues within regulatory Service Levels. Your responsibilities will also include procedure writing, interacting with all levels of management within the organization, and managing projects to enhance the Privacy Incident Management program.
Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for consultation and guidance on case questions and reviews.
- Reviews proactively the aging events, analyze inventory trends, and monitor for consistent updates provide feedback to team members as needed.
- Assures processes, procedures, and controls are being followed through daily monitoring activities.
- Monitors, reviews, and approves breach notification letters, downgrades, and escalate legal reviews as necessary.
- Takes responsibility of escalated privacy events including communication, investigation, and resolution.
- Handles ad hoc projects and backup for other operational supporting roles.
- Develops and maintains key contacts and working relationships with various areas within the Firm and with vendors.
- Interacts with key stakeholders such as Global Data Risk Management, Privacy Legal, Privacy Compliance, Global Security, Fraud Units and LOB Privacy Champions.
- Identifies and executes process improvements within the PIM process.
- Ensures timely escalation of key risks and issues to management and interested stakeholders.
- Trains new associates.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- 6+ years of experience in Banking Industry.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lead and influence a diverse team.
- Can work both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated ability to use sound judgment to make decisions.
- Highly developed analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Must possess the ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities and projects effectively.
- Must possess intermediate PC skills with emphasis on the Microsoft Office Suite of products including Excel and Power Point.
- Quality focused work ethic and strong controls mind-set.
- Strategic thinking and planning skills and abilities to drive innovation.
- Prior experience in handling escalated issues.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- College degree preferred.
