We are currently seeking for an R2R ACCOUNTING ASSOCIATE to join our team at REED ELSEVIER SHARED SERVICES (PHILIPPINES) INC.' in Quezon City, Metro Manila.

The successful candidate will be accountable for R2R processes and will also be responsible in performing general accounting activities, including the preparation, analyzing, and recording of accounting transactions and ensures the integrity of accounting records.

• Performing reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and related bank statements
• Settlement of Intercompany transactions
• Preparing and recording of journal entries
• Performing reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and related bank statements
• Perform Balance confirmation and Mismatch Analysis
• Recording of newly acquired fixed assets (tangibles and intangibles)
• Accounting for the disposition of fixed assets
• Recording of depreciation, Transfer Pricing
• Monitoring of the close process at unit and company levels
• Reviewing and analysis of account and unit-level trial balances
• Performing record retention archiving and audit support specific to accounting and external reporting
• Researching of local and international accounting issues and briefing of new pronouncements
• Preparation of month-end reports

• Bachelor's degree holder in Accounting, Finance or related course
• Must have at least 2-3 years of experience in Record-to Report or General Accounting
• Experience with ERPs (e.g. SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft)
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel (advanced excel skills a plus), Word, PowerPoint, MS Access and Project is a plus
• Must have stakeholder management experience
• Strong technical and analytical skills
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Good interpersonal skills with ability to work with a diverse group of people
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced setting; able to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Must be independent yet a strong team player
• Amenable to work in hybrid set-up and flexible schedule in Quezon City
