We are looking for an experienced Merchandising Officer to manage product assortment, inventory planning, sourcing activities, and sales performance analysis. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring product availability, maximizing inventory productivity, driving category growth, and supporting promotional initiatives across the business.
Key Responsibilities- Manage product assortment, inventory levels, and replenishment planning.
- Monitor stock aging, slow-moving items, and inventory turnover.
- Analyze sales trends and recommend actions to improve category performance.
- Develop and implement promotional and pricing strategies.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis.
- Coordinate with suppliers regarding product sourcing, negotiations, and product availability.
- Forecast product demand and recommend reorder quantities.
- Support new product launches and category expansion initiatives.
- Prepare sales reports, inventory reports, and business reviews.
- Collaborate with Operations, Purchasing, Marketing, and Store Teams.
- Monitor category profitability and sales performance.
- Recommend strategies to increase sales and inventory efficiency.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, or related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in Merchandising, Category Management, Purchasing, Procurement, or Inventory Planning.
- Strong background in FMCG, Retail, Pharmacy, Consumer Goods, or Pet Retail.
- Experience in demand forecasting and inventory management.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
- Experience handling suppliers and product sourcing is an advantage.
