Dean of the School of Business
  1. Strategic Leadership & Vision
o Develop and execute a strategic plan to enhance SWU’s School of Business, aligning academic programs with both

international standards and local industry demands.

o Lead the design and continuous improvement of curricula, ensuring students are prepared for a rapidly evolving global
marketplace.
  1. Academic & Operational Management

o Oversee daily operations of the School of Business, including faculty recruitment, budget allocation, and resource

management.

o Implement quality assurance measures and accreditation processes to maintain high academic standards.

o Ensure compliance with all national (CHED) and international regulations, highlighting the institution’s commitment to
excellence.
  1. Faculty & Staff Development
o Recruit, mentor, and supervise a diverse faculty body, fostering professional growth through workshops, conferences, and

research collaborations.

o Conduct regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback to promote teaching excellence, thought leadership, and
innovative research.
  1. Global Partnerships & Community Engagement

o Expand international collaborations, student exchange programs, and research partnerships that enhance SWU’s global

outreach.
o Serve as the primary liaison between the School of Business and other academic and industry partners, strengthening local

and international ties.

o Facilitate stakeholder engagements to promote internships, practical learning experiences, and global networking
opportunities for students.
  1. Curriculum Innovation & Student Experience
o Champion cutting-edge pedagogical methods to equip students with in-demand skills, particularly in areas such as
entrepreneurship, global finance, and cross-cultural communication.
o Promote student-centered learning, including experiential learning programs and interdisciplinary projects.
  1. Cross-Cultural Leadership & Student Success
o Cultivate an inclusive and culturally diverse environment, leveraging international teaching experience to guide both local

and international students toward academic and career success.

o Guide extracurricular programs, student organizations, and professional seminars to broaden career pathways and

international exposure.

Qualifications/Requirements
  1. Educational Background
  • Master’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Educational Administration, or a closely related field from a recognized
institution.
  • A doctoral degree in a relevant discipline is advantageous but not mandatory.
  1. Experience
  • International Experience: Proven leadership in educational institutions across different countries or cultural settings, with a clear
track record of global curriculum development.
  • Administrative Expertise: Minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role (Dean, Program Director, Vice Principal, or equivalent)
that includes budget oversight, faculty management, and strategic planning.
  • Accreditation Leadership: Demonstrated success in guiding institutions through accreditation processes and implementing
quality assurance systems.
  1. Skills & Competencies
  • Strategic Vision: Ability to create a forward-looking academic roadmap, informed by industry trends and global best practices.
  • Communication & Cultural Fluency: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to connect with
diverse stakeholders and lead in multicultural contexts.
  • Operational Excellence: Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, capable of streamlining processes and
championing continuous improvement.
  • Team Development: Evidence of successful team-building, mentoring, and teacher/faculty development.
