Core Responsibilities (Simplified)
Build and enforce security policies, standards, and proceduresSecure networks, servers, endpoints, apps, and cloud
Handle patching, vulnerability management, and remediation
Lead incident detection, response, and investigation
Support audits and regulatory compliance
Run security awareness programs
Embed security into day-to-day operations
Ideal Candidate Profile
3+ years in IT Security (but realistically, this budget leans closer to ~5–8 years total IT exp with solid security exposure)
Strong exposure to:
- Network & endpoint security
- Vulnerability management tools
- SIEM / log monitoring
- Incident response
Certifications are preferred (e.g., Security+, CEH, CISSP – depending on level)
