Engineering Supervisor for Happyfoods Corporation
Job Summary:
The Engineering Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and engineering operations of all 12 restaurant branches as well as the Main office and Commissary of Happyfoods Corporation.
Acting as the team leader of the Engineering Department, this role ensures that all restaurant facilities, kitchen equipment, and utilities are in optimal condition to support smooth operations. The Engineering Supervisor plans and executes preventive maintenance schedules, manages engineering staff, coordinates with contractors, and ensures compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Management:
- Lead, train, and supervise the Engineering team, ensuring effective delegation of tasks and optimal performance.
- Develop work schedules and assign engineering staff to cover all restaurant branches.
- Monitor and evaluate the team’s work quality and productivity.
Maintenance & Repairs:
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance for all restaurant facilities, kitchen equipment (grills, exhaust, chillers, HVAC, etc.), and utilities.
- Respond to urgent repair needs to minimize downtime in operations.
- Ensure all engineering work complies with safety, sanitation, and industry standards.
Project Coordination:
- Support store renovations, expansions, and new restaurant openings in collaboration with contractors and suppliers.
- Recommend improvements to equipment and facilities to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
Inventory & Budgeting:
- Manage and monitor the inventory of spare parts, tools, and engineering supplies.
- Prepare and monitor the engineering department’s budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
Compliance & Documentation:
- Maintain engineering records, including maintenance schedules, service reports, and equipment manuals.
- Ensure compliance with Philippine building, fire, and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering; licensed Engineer preferred.
- At least 3–5 years of experience in facilities/engineering management, preferably in the restaurant, hospitality, or retail industry.
- Proven experience in supervising a team of technicians or engineers.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen equipment, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Excellent leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel to different restaurant locations.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
