Microsoft 365 Engineer
About the role
CoreData, a global market research consultancy with a unique collaboration of market research, media, industry and marketing professionals, is seeking a detail-oriented and self-directed Microsoft 365 Engineer who will play a key role for the end-to-end handling of CoreData's IT systems, securing CoreData’s global IT infrastructure, focusing on Microsoft 365 security and administration, onboarding and offboarding users, centralized security logging, firewalls, log-in management, patch management, Ubiquiti® networking perimeter scanning, and penetration testing.
This Manila-based full-time role is best suited to candidates with 5+ years of managing and monitoring Microsoft issues with some Microsoft Defender exposure.
Under the supervision of the Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will collaborate with a Manila-based Engineering team while providing support to CoreData’s regional offices in Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States. This role will offer a chance to contribute to the evolution of CoreData’s IT infrastructure, focusing on the implementation of cutting-edge technology solutions.

Duties and responsibilities:
What you’ll be doing
You’ll be monitoring and ensuring the management and security of CoreData’s digital infrastructure, systems, and data. This involves:
- Expected to work independently and to be a subject matter expert.
- Microsoft 365 security & Cloud management
- Onboarding and offboarding users in MS 365
- Centralized security logging & Incident response
- Firewalls & Log-in security monitoring
- Patch management & System hardening
- Ubiquiti® Security & Networking
- Perimeter Scanning & Vulnerability management
- Immediate notification to Cloud Infrastructure Engineer and Chief Technical Officer of any malicious attacks or any anomalies from Windows Defender
- Check for vulnerabilities in computer and network systems by performing active threat detection procedures.
- 5+ years of experience in IT security, cybersecurity, or cloud security.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in IT/Cybersecurity.
- An understanding of Cybersecurity
- Experience managing firewalls, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and SIEM solutions.
- Familiarity with Ubiquiti security devices and network management.
- Knowledge of penetration testing methodologies and vulnerability management tools.
- Hands-on experience with patch management, system hardening, and security policy enforcement.
One of the following relevant certifications on the following:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500)
- Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals (SC-900)
- Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert (SC-100)
- Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC-300)
