Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Team Lead to join our Finance department. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in accounting operations and a passion for leading teams and improving processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of accountants to ensure balanced workload and optimal performance
• Provide coaching, feedback, and regular performance evaluations

• Oversee general ledger activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and adjustments
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
• Manage month-end and year-end closing activities

• Review and approve financial reports, reconciliations, and supporting documentation
• Support the preparation of management reports and dashboards

• Identify areas for improvement in accounting processes and systems
• Participate in automation and efficiency initiatives across the finance function

• Liaise with other departments and external stakeholders including auditors and clients
• Serve as a point of escalation for accounting-related matters

• Assist in audit preparation and respond to audit queries
• Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Experience:

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in accounting, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role
• Strong background in general accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close processes

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems)
• Advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis)
• Knowledge of local and international accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS)
