QA Supervisor

Job Summary

Plans and directs activities concerned with development, application and maintenance of quality standards for processes, materials and products.

Monitors compliance with the quality standard on the production floor to ensure that products conform to specifications and food safety practices. Assists in the documentation involving HACCP, Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Supervises the quality assurance department.
2. Design and plan the detailed activities of the overall quality assurance and food safety programs and systems of the company.
3. Promotes clean safe work area in the plant through strict implementation and monitoring of cGMP, HACCP, SSOP and food safety awareness.
4. Gathers and/or prepares QA related documentation and record pertaining to manufacturing procedures modifications or improvement.
5. Process non-conformance through investigation, root cause analysis, documentation and corrective action validation, identify and recommend areas of improvement to prevent recurrence.
6. Coordinates and collaborates with counterparts from the company operating units such as production, engineering, sanitation, warehouse as well as QA and R&D of GBPI.
7. Assist in the conduct and facilitation of company wide awareness program on regulatory requirements such as orientation, seminars and certifications.
8. Highlights any non-conforming raw materials or in process materials to the management and concerned units.
9. Implement monitoring of CAPA from manufacturing, engineering and sanitation.
10. Give disposition for finish products, raw materials and packaging materials.

• Bachelors degree preferably Bachelors of Science in Food Technology.
• Quality inspection, auditing and testing experience,
• Experience with implementation of corrective action programs
• Product or industry-specific experience - food manufacturing and/or bakery setup.
• Knowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies of QA.
• knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements.
