Australian Senior Bookkeeper (WFH - Morning Shift) - Quezon City

Job Summary:

This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform end-to-end bookkeeping duties, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards.
• Prepare and lodge BAS, IAS, and payroll tax returns.
• Assist in preparing financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
• Process payroll, superannuation contributions, and employee entitlements.
• Reconcile financial data with source documents, bank statements, and supplier statements.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders, providing financial insights and recommendations.
• Assist accountants with tax return preparation for individuals, partnerships, and companies.

Qualifications & Experience:

• 3–5 years of Australian bookkeeping experience in a public practice setting.
• Strong knowledge of Australian accounting principles and tax regulations.
• Proficiency in Xero, QuickBooks, MYOB, and Xero Practice Manager (XPM).
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in bookkeeping or accounting (e.g., Certificate IV in Bookkeeping, Diploma in Accounting) is an advantage.
• Experience working with Australian clients or within an Australian accounting firm.
