CAD Operator

Job Summary:

The CAD Operator is tosupport our mechanical contracting projects by preparing and revising shop drawings, as-built drawings, and layout plans based on project requirements and specified layouts for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other mechanical systems.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Drafting & Design:

• Prepare 2D and/or 3D drawings for mechanical systems (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, fire protection) based on design sketches, calculations, and specifications.
• Develop shop drawings and coordinated drawings in compliance with project standards.
• Create as-built drawings based on redline markups and site feedback.

Coordination & Review:

• Work closely with mechanical engineers, project-in-charge, and other CAD operators for drawing coordination.
• Incorporate design changes, revisions, and markups accurately and promptly.
• Identify and flag potential clashes or design issues and escalate them for resolution.

File Management & Documentation:

• Maintain a well-organized drawing filing system (hard and soft copies).
• Ensure proper version control and backup of all project files and drawings.
• Submit and track drawing transmittals, revisions, and approvals

Job Description & Qualification:

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's/ College Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical or equivalent.
• Producing rough sketches and using CAD software to prepare detailed drawings, plans, and blueprints.
• Updating software, drawings, and other documents.
• Willing to relocate on site projects
