ESL Teacher

• Plan, prepare, and deliver effective ESL lessons aligned with curriculum objectives.
• Assess students' English proficiency levels and adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs.
• Teach grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
• Create engaging classroom activities that promote language acquisition and communication.
• Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback on performance.
• Develop and administer quizzes, tests, and other assessment tools.
• Maintain accurate student records, attendance, and progress reports.
• Encourage student participation and confidence in using English.
• Utilize educational technology and online learning platforms when appropriate.
• Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and parents/guardians to support student success.
• Maintain a positive, respectful, and culturally sensitive classroom environment.
• Participate in professional development and school activities as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, English, Linguistics, or a related field.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to work with students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

• TESOL, TEFL, CELTA, or ESL certification.
• Previous ESL teaching experience.
• Experience teaching online and/or in-person classes.
• Knowledge of language assessment methods and instructional technology.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Lesson planning and curriculum development.
• Classroom management.
• Cultural awareness and sensitivity.
• Adaptability and creativity in teaching methods.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to motivate and engage learners and proficiency levels.

• May teach children, teenagers, or adults.
• Can work in schools, language centers, colleges, universities, or online learning environments.
• May require evening, weekend, or flexible scheduling depending on student needs.
