Construction Foreman
Kimberland Construction Inc. Manila Temporary
As the Construction Foreman, you are the vital link between project planning and physical execution. You will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of site operations, ensuring that labor, materials, and equipment are utilized efficiently to meet project milestones.
Your primary goal is to translate technical blueprints into high-quality physical structures while maintaining a safe, productive, and disciplined work environment. By proactively managing site crews and resolving immediate field challenges, you ensure the project remains on schedule and within quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multi-disciplinary teams including but not limited to carpenters, masons, steelmen, etc. and subcontractors to ensure daily tasks are completed according to the project schedule.
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to direct the layout and installation of structural, architectural, and MEP components.
- Conduct regular inspections of work-in-progress to ensure compliance with design specifications and a "zero-rework" quality standard.
- Monitor the inventory of materials and the condition of tools/equipment; coordinate with the warehouse to ensure supplies are available before tasks begin.
- Enforce strict adherence to Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) standards, ensuring all workers wear proper PPE and maintain a clean, hazard-free site.
- Prepare daily man-hour reports, accomplishment logs, and incident reports for the Project Manager.
- Identify and resolve site-level conflicts or technical discrepancies in coordination with the Site Surveyor and Engineering teams.
- The Construction Foreman role requires a seasoned leader with five to seven years of supervisory experience in large-scale vertical construction or high-end interior fit-outs, ideally supported by a background in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or vocational training.
- A successful candidate must possess a deep understanding of Philippine construction methods and local safety regulations, alongside a mastery of interpreting complex structural blueprints and MEP shop drawings.
- Beyond technical skills, the position demands a firm but fair "ground-level" leadership style to manage labor disputes and mentor workers, combined with a sharp eye for craftsmanship to identify and correct deviations before they impact the project's bottom line.
- The success of this role is measured by the timely completion of project phases and the minimization of material wastage and rework.
- You are expected to maintain an impeccable safety record (zero accidents) and ensure that your team meets daily productivity targets.
- Reliability in reporting and the ability to maintain harmonious relationships between different trades and the management team are essential for the technical and operational integrity of the project.
- This role is site-based in active construction environments and may require extended working hours, weekend work, or mobility between project areas.
