About the role
Glynis Cabansag Law Office is seeking an experienced Litigation Associate to join our dynamic legal team. This is a full-time position based in San Juan City, Metro Manila. As a Litigation Associate, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality legal representation and support across a broad spectrum of dispute resolution matters.You will work closely with senior attorneys to manage cases from inception through resolution, ensuring that clients receive strategic, effective and timely legal services. This position is integral to our litigation practice and offers significant opportunity to develop expertise in dispute resolution whilst contributing to the success of our firm and our clients.
Key responsibilities- Prepare and draft legal pleadings, motions, briefs and other litigation documents for submission to courts and administrative bodies
- Conduct legal research and analysis on complex litigation matters using relevant statutes, case law and procedural rules
- Assist in case strategy development and provide recommendations on case management and settlement opportunities
- Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings and depositions, presenting arguments and examining witnesses as required
- Manage discovery processes, including document review, interrogatories and requests for admission
- Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates on case progress, advise on litigation risks and discuss settlement options
- Coordinate with opposing counsel and court personnel to facilitate efficient case resolution
- Maintain comprehensive case files and ensure all documentation is properly organised and accessible
- Conduct interviews with witnesses and gather factual information relevant to cases
- Support senior litigation partners in all aspects of trial preparation and courtroom advocacy
- Philippine Bar membership in good standing
- Experience in litigation for atleast two (2) years and thorough knowledge of procedures
- Attention to details and commitment to delivering high-quality work
- Proficient in conducting legal research and offering strategic advice
- Ability to manage client communications with professionalism and clarity
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple complex cases and deadlines simultaneously
- Experience in complex property disputes or corporate operations is an advantage
