Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Analyst to join our team in the HR Reporting and Analytics space. In this role, you will focus on developing dashboards, using data from databases and Tableau models, creating semi-automated data pipelines, and building automated reports.These efforts, such as creating supplemental analysis packs or decks, will simplify processes and help stakeholders understand key insights. You will also be required to provide data insights and reports for ad hoc or urgent requests. This role requires an understanding of the narrative conveyed by the data and the ability to effectively communicate these insights.
You will also collaborate closely with the IT team to productize and automate your products. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our organization's data-driven decision-making and play a crucial role in enhancing our reporting capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Front-end Development: Rapidly develop dashboards to visualize and present data insights, ensuring they are user-friendly and meet stakeholder requirements.
- Design visually compelling dashboards, reports, and narrative that effectively communicate complex data insights to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Data Structured: Leverage existing datasets in Google Cloud Platform and Tableau.
- Data Unstructured: Create semi-automated data pipelines to efficiently gather, clean, and transform data for reporting purposes.
- Merge structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data from multiple systems to create meaningful KPIs / metrics, identifying trends and highlight company-wide talent-related insights.
- Identify opportunities for data process optimization and automation within the HR function, collaborating with IT to improve data pipelines.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather reporting requirements and ensure dashboards and reports align with business needs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their reporting and analytics needs, proactively identifying opportunities to leverage data for strategic talent initiatives.
- Quality: Assess the integrity and quality of data, conducting validation and verification exercises to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Collaborate with HRIS and other data teams to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across various talent analytics initiatives.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of data governance and data management practices to ensure compliance and data security.
- Problem solve and implement solutions for unexcepted behaviours with platform workflows and/or data as well as maintain or update these configurations as business needs grow or change.
- Reporting: Manage both ad hoc and scheduled reporting requests and prepare analysis decks or presentation packs for the reported data as specified by the product owner or stakeholders.
- Analytics: Understand data insights and highlight observations about key data points for further team analysis.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Statistics, Mathematics, Operational Research, Economics, Finance, Data Science, Computer Science or relevant technical discipline preferred.
- Technologies
- Strong proficiency with data visualization tools (Tableau preferred).
- Advanced MS Excel skills incl. VBA
- SQL preferred
- HR experience preferred
- Experience in working in a HR analytics function or working with people data is preferred.
- Experience in data analysis and data visualization, preferably in the HR or talent analytics space.
- Presentation / Comms / Collaboration
- Strong proficiency with creating insight reports for senior leaders.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Skilled in creating deliverables related to customer-focused reporting.
- Excellent quantitative skills, including data manipulation, KPIs / metrics development and visualization.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Advanced analytics and data exploration proficiency is advantageous.
