About the role
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Cashiering Supervisor to join the Pet Lovers Centre team at Robinsons Handyman Inc. This is a full-time position based in Robinsons Place Tagaytay City, Cavite. As Cashiering Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing all cashiering operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and excellent customer service at our point of sale.This role is critical to maintaining smooth retail operations and directly impacts the customer experience and financial integrity of our department.
Key responsibilities- Supervise and manage cashiering staff, ensuring they adhere to company policies and procedures
- Monitor cash registers and point-of-sale systems to ensure accurate transactions and minimal discrepancies
- Train and mentor cashiers on proper checkout procedures, customer service excellence, and loss prevention techniques
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints at the point of sale with professionalism and efficiency
- Conduct daily cash reconciliation and prepare accurate cash reports for management review
- Manage till floats and ensure proper cash handling security protocols are followed
- Monitor inventory at checkouts and coordinate with stock teams for timely replenishment
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashiering area
- Identify operational issues and implement solutions to improve efficiency and reduce queuing times
- Support the department manager with administrative tasks and performance reporting
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a cashiering supervisory role or similar retail management position
- Proven experience managing and supervising cashiering teams in a retail environment
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to manage cash and produce accurate financial reports
- Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and retail technology
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations with composure
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Knowledge of loss prevention and cash handling security procedures
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays as required
- Professional communication skills and a team-oriented approach
- Familiarity with the pet retail or consumer products sector is advantageous
