Investment Data and Analytics Manager

Role Summary

The Head of Performance Analytics leads the investments data analytics team in delivering the performance and risk reports used by internal and external stakeholders. This includes the management of the database, controlling the data quality and integrity by monitoring the computation of the return and risk metrics, stability of the algorithms, and consistency of the methods/taxonomy, and effective delivery of the information through different platforms and reports.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Data integrity and governance. The Head of Performance Analytics monitors and validates the data sources, the calculations, the performance and risk reports in order to ensure the information consumed by stakeholders is accurate, timely, and complete and ultimately safeguards the credibility of performance-related information and privacy of accounts data.
• Performance analysis and reporting. The Head of Performance Analytics, along with members of the data analytics team, operate and configure the systems that sources, calculates, and reports the investment returns and risk metrics used by the internal, in order to provide key information used by portfolio managers in their decision-making tasks as well as supporting data for sales and marketing to use in developing and maintaining relationships with clients and the investor base.
• Stakeholder engagement. As the producer and gatekeeper of the investment database for returns and risk metrics, the Head of Performance Analytics communicates the findings of the analyses conducted by the team with the internal stakeholders such as the senior management team and the portfolio managers as well as external stakeholders such as audit teams and risk management, in order to maintain robust working relationships within and outside the firm and develop new policies and guidelines to improve performance and governance.

Competencies Required:

• Knowledge and understanding of financial markets and investment products
• Great attention to detail, and ability to multi-task and manage projects and tasks to fit into tight deadlines and maintain schedules
• Highly proficient in MS Excel and Power BI. Experience in market platforms such as Bloomberg. Quantitative and analytical skills. Effective presentation skills.

Education and Experience Required:

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, or business-related course.
• At least five years experience in market data and/or market risk
