Technical Sales Representative (Cosmetics Industry)
Job Summary: The Technical Sales Representative is responsible for promoting and selling cosmetic and skincare products by leveraging strong technical knowledge of formulations, ingredients, and product benefits. This role involves building relationships with clients, providing product education, and supporting business growth through consultative selling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop new account and maintain relationships with clients such as brands, retailers, dermatology clinics, and beauty professionals.
- Present and explain product formulations, active ingredients, and benefits to customers.
- Provide technical support on product usage, application, and positioning. Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate skincare or cosmetic solutions.
- Achieve sales targets and expand market presence within assigned territory.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor products, and new ingredient technologies.
- Collaborate with R&D and marketing teams to align product offerings with customer demands.
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and client feedback summaries
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Cosmetic Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biology, Marketing, Business Ad, or any related field.
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in cosmetics, skincare, or personal care industry.
- Strong understanding of skincare ingredients and formulations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to translate technical information into clear customer benefits.
- Self-motivated with strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Willingness to travel within assigned territory
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of active ingredients
- Experience with B2B sales
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements for cosmetics
- Strong problem-solving and customer service orientation
