Data & Artificial Intelligence Project Manager

JOB PURPOSE:

Beyond traditional project management, the successful candidate will also leverage their analytical skills to gather and document business requirements, bridging the gap between technical teams and stakeholders.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Manage the full project lifecycle for all Data & AI projects, from initiation to closure.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, resource allocation, and budget.
• Track project progress, identify and mitigate risks and issues, and proactively communicate status updates to stakeholders.
• Facilitate project meetings, including stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Implement and maintain project management best practices within the team.
• Use project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Kanban) appropriately.

• Allocate and manage team resources effectively across projects, considering individual skills and workload.
• Collaborate with team leads and managers to identify resource gaps and needs.
• Track resource utilization and identify opportunities for optimization.
• Anticipate and plan for future resource requirements based on project pipeline.

• Develop and maintain project documentation, including project charters and requirements documents.
• Ensure all projects adhere to the standards and processes defined by the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) and IT Project Management (ITPM).
• Prepare and submit required project reports and documentation to the EPMO and ITPM.
• Stay current on EPMO and ITPMO policies and procedures and communicate updates to the team.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their Data & AI needs.
• Gather, document, and analyze business requirements for Data & AI projects.
• Translate business requirements into clear and actionable specifications for the development team.
• Create process flows, use cases, and other documentation to support requirement definition.
• Assist in the development of user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the solution meets business requirements.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE FOR THE ROLE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Math, Statistics, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or an equivalent professional designation is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Project Management, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects from initiation through to successful closure.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and PM tools (MS Project, Jira, or Asana).
• Mastery of Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid frameworks tailored for the AI/ML development lifecycle (from data acquisition to MLOps).
• Knowledge of data privacy (e.g., DPA of the Philippines), data quality, and AI-specific risks like model drift and bias.
• Ability to translate technical discussions on AI/ML models and infrastructure into clear business requirements for all stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of Life Insurance operations (Underwriting, Claims, and Policy Administration).
• Proven track record of managing projects from initiation to completion.
• Ability to identify data quality issues and understand their impact on model performance.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to lead requirements elicitation and documentation.
• Must be willing to work in Alabang, Muntinlupa.
