Manila - Network Security and Development Engineer

About the Role:

Playmate Leisure Solutions Corp. is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented IT Network Security & Development Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. This role is critical in maintaining the stability, integrity, and security of our network infrastructure to support seamless and secure operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and support daily network operations, including ticket handling and escalations.
• Configure and administer LAN, WAN, wireless networks, firewalls, switches, routers, access points, and load balancers.
• Handle and respond to security incidents, vulnerabilities, and policy violations.
• Conduct regular infrastructure reviews, assessments, and recommend enhancements.
• Implement and monitor security solutions such as firewalls, web filters, intrusion detection/prevention systems, VPNs, MDM, and SIEM.
• Prepare technical documentation including root cause analyses, SOPs, and security reports.
• Collaborate with the IT team to ensure network optimization and compliance with security standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in IT, with at least 1 year in network support/security.
• Strong working knowledge of:
• Cisco, Huawei, and Palo Alto network devices
• Firewall configuration, VLANs, VPNs, routing protocols (RIP/OSPF/BGP)
• Network and system security practices
• Ticketing and escalation systems
• Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or NSE4 are a plus.
• Familiarity with incident/change management processes.

Technical Skills Advantageous To Have:

• Experience in tools/platforms like: IDS/IPS, SIEM, SSL inspection, VoIP, and SD-WAN.
• Knowledge in cross-platform environments (Windows, Linux/Open Source).
• Proficient in writing reports, documentation, and communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
