Job Summary
We’re hiring a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to support our client — a company specializing in high-quality painting services.
You’ll be responsible for managing project cost estimates, take-offs, quotations, and administrative coordination, ensuring every job runs smoothly from tender stage through to completion.
Key Responsibilities- Estimating and Quotation Support
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and quotations, including labor, materials, and subcontractor costs.
- Review project requirements to ensure accuracy and alignment with forecasted margins.
- Source and compare supplier and subcontractor pricing for trades, equipment, and materials.
- Ensure all estimates are completed accurately and on time, with supporting documentation.
- Administrative & Executive Assistance
- Manage email correspondence and respond to client or supplier inquiries promptly.
- Maintain and organize calendars, meetings, and follow-ups for the management team.
- Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and other documentation as required.
- General administrative duties to support the Directors.
- CRM and Project Coordination
- Manage project and client data using Tradify or similar CRM/job management systems.
- Update job records, quotes, and progress notes to ensure real-time accuracy.
- Assist in compiling detailed job files and liaising with operations teams.
- Customer Service
- Handle client communications professionally through email and virtual meetings.
- Coordinate with suppliers and clients to ensure smooth workflow and timely project updates.
- Represent the company in a professional and customer-focused manner.
Qualifications and Experience
Knowledge & Experience- At least 3 years of experience in estimating, administrative support, or similar roles (preferably in construction, trades, or service industries).
- Experience using Tradify or similar job management software is highly desirable.
- Experience using Groundplan, or similar estimating software is highly desirable.
- Background in cost estimation, pricing, or procurement is an advantage.
- Strong familiarity with CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in numbers.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proactive, resourceful, and committed to meeting deadlines.
- Laptop or desktop with at least an Intel i5 processor (or equivalent).
- Minimum 8GB RAM.
- Stable internet connection (25 Mbps or higher).
- Working headset and webcam for virtual meetings.
- Quiet, dedicated home workspace.
