Collaboration Communications Systems Engineer

Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

• Designing and deploying Microsoft Teams Phone, meetings, and related devices, including PSTN connectivity options like Calling Plans, Operator Connect, and Direct Routing.
• Proficiently using tools like the Microsoft Teams admin center, PowerShell, the Microsoft Teams Rooms Pro Portal, and the Call Quality Dashboard to manage and monitor the collaboration environment.
• Diagnosing and resolving issues related to collaboration systems, providing third-level support to users and other support teams, and contributing to knowledge bases.
• Integrating collaboration tools with other enterprise systems, optimizing network performance for Teams, and ensuring proper configuration, functioning, availability, and security.
• Working with various stakeholders, including Teams administrators, network engineers, security engineers, and telephony providers, to ensure seamless collaboration.
• Creating and maintaining system documentation, standard operating procedures, and training materials for users and support teams.
• Keeping up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices related to collaboration and communication systems.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of networking, telecommunications, and audio/visual technologies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Teams administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and related identity management systems.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with system modeling and requirement creation (SysML) is beneficial.
• Knowledge of network performance optimization for collaboration tools.
• Ability to develop and maintain system documentation and standard operating procedures.
• Experience with automation tools for deployment and management.
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Collaboration Communications Systems Engineer Associate Certification
