Accounting Manager

Job Summary

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy of financial records, and timely preparation of financial reports. The role manages the accounting team, enforces internal controls, and ensures compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

• Oversee and manage daily accounting operations (GL, AP, AR, and reporting)
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and reports
• Supervise and review work of accounting staff
• Monitor and perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulations
• Oversee tax compliance including BIR filings, VAT, and withholding taxes
• Coordinate with external auditors and support audit requirements
• Implement and strengthen internal controls and accounting procedures
• Monitor financial data and provide insights to management
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
• Coordinate with other departments for financial and accounting concerns
• Train, guide, and evaluate accounting team performance
• And any duties that may be assigned from time to time

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or related field
• CPA is preferred
• Proven experience in accounting, with managerial or supervisory experience
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting and accounting standards
• Experience in tax compliance and audit processes
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• High attention to detail and analytical ability
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
