Qualifications:

  • College graduate; associate degree or coursework in business or supply chain preferred.
  • Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or administrative support is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with purchasing software is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Purchasing Assistant to support our procurement department. The ideal candidate will assist in the purchasing of goods and services, maintain vendor relationships, track inventory levels, and ensure timely and cost-effective procurement aligned with company policies and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and process purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with suppliers to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedules.
  • Maintain and update supplier information, price lists, and purchase records.
  • Track deliveries and ensure timely receipt of goods and services.
  • Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or potential delays.
  • Assist with vendor selection and performance evaluation.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to determine purchasing needs and specifications.
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies and support timely payment processing.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date procurement documentation and files.
  • Support the purchasing manager in daily administrative and clerical tasks.
