Head of Finance

The Director will provide leadership to the finance team while delivering insights and recommendations that support executive decision-making and long-term business growth.

• Prepare and deliver accurate, timely financial statements, reports, and analyses to support business oversight and strategic decision-making.
• Manage cash flow to ensure adequate support for operations, capital expenditures, benefit programs, and regulatory obligations.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with banks and financial institutions to support the company’s financial needs.
• Recommend and implement accounting and financial strategies, goals, policies, and procedures aligned with organizational objectives.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and all legal and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Lead, develop, and mentor the accounting and finance team, fostering a high-performance and growth-oriented culture.
• Direct the preparation, review, and approval of annual budgets, including supporting documentation and forecasting.
• Analyze financial performance by comparing historical results with current outcomes and future projections.
• Develop and present financial insights using data visualization tools to support leadership decision-making.
• Oversee payroll, compensation systems, and benefits programs to ensure accurate and timely processing.
• Manage insurance programs to mitigate risk and ensure appropriate coverage for the organization.
• Partner with external tax accountants on tax filings, K-1s, depreciation schedules, and other tax-related matters.
• Advise leadership on tax regulations and financial risks that may impact the business.
• Coordinate and manage annual audits and financial reviews, maintaining relationships with external auditors.
• Prepare and submit financial reports required by regulatory agencies.

• Lead and supervise the Accounting and Finance team.
• Provide coaching, performance management, and professional development to direct reports.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; MBA preferred.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in accounting and finance, including leadership responsibilities.
• General Ledger management, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close
• Experience with accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks) for AP/AR, payroll, and reporting
• Familiarity with financial reporting tools and GAAP-compliant reporting
• Experience with tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Amazon QuickSight
• Ability to build dashboards and present financial and operational KPIs
• Strong understanding of data modeling and integrating multiple data sources
• Familiarity with CRM platforms such as HubSpot or Salesforce
• Experience aligning sales and financial data for improved reporting visibility
• Strong background in both general and cost accounting.
• Advanced financial and analytical skills, including financial modeling, ratios, and statistical analysis
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to executive leadership and external stakeholders
• Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus.
