Flinders Lane Cafe is looking for a motivated and experienced Restaurant Supervisor to help lead our floor team and support daily operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in service excellence, and is ready to grow into a key leadership position within a supportive team environment.
JOB DETAILS- Sales & Guest Engagement: Support sales initiatives such as upselling, promotions, and new menu rollouts to help achieve monthly revenue goals.
- Daily Operations Support: Assist in overseeing front-of-house and back-of-house operations to ensure smooth service, safety, and compliance with company standards.
- Quality & Service Standards: Help maintain consistent food and beverage quality through regular checks and hands-on support during service.
- Team Leadership & Coaching: Lead brief team huddles and provide ongoing guidance, coaching, and training on service standards, product knowledge, and promotions.
- Business Awareness: Support cost control efforts by managing labor efficiently, encouraging strong sales performance, and contributing to a positive, high-performing team culture.
- Hygiene & Maintenance: Ensure cleanliness and food safety standards are consistently met, and coordinate with management for equipment maintenance when needed.
- Inventory & Waste Control: Work closely with internal teams to monitor stock levels, conduct inventory counts, and help minimize waste and shortages.
- Guest Relations: Handle guest concerns, feedback, and inquiries professionally and calmly, ensuring positive resolutions whenever possible.
- Operational Best Practices: Help implement and uphold effective systems in sales management, staff development, and day-to-day store operations.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of work experience in the food & beverage industry is a must.
- Preferably at least 1 year of experience in a supervisory role.
- A degree in Hospitality Management or Business Administration is highly preferred, though we will consider applicants with exceptional, proven experience.
- Proficiency with tech tools such as Google Sheets, Google Docs, POS systems, etc.
- Proven ability to inspire, motivate, and manage a diverse team.
