Supply Chain System Analyst
About the role
Responsible for transforming Excel reports to Power BI, automating Excel reports, and working with Oracle reports. This role will be centered on data transformation, report automation, and improving the reporting efficiency and visualization of supply chain data.
What you'll be doing
Data Extraction and Preparation- Extract data from various sources, including Oracle databases and Excel files, to prepare it for reporting transformation and analysis.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity during extraction and troubleshoot data issues as they arise.
- Run automated scripts or macros to update daily Excel reports
- Monitor and review automated reporting processes to ensure smooth and accurate data refresh.
- Monitor the performance of Power BI dashboards, ensuring data is up-to-date and troubleshooting any refresh of connectivity issues
- Provide immediate support to users facing issues with Power BI report accessibility or data accuracy
- Transition Excel-based reports into Power BI, creating dynamic dashboards that enhance data visualization and interactivity.
- Consolidate multiple Excel data sources into Power BI, ensuring smooth integration and correct data mapping.
- Develop and implement macros and VBA scripts to automate repetitive Excel reporting tasks.
- Test and refine automated reports to ensure they meet data accuracy and formatting standards.
- Create or modify Oracle reports to align with the current needs of supply chain stakeholders
- Work with IT and database teams to integrate data from Oracle into Power BI and Excel in a way that supports automated updates.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Information Technology or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Production Analyst or similar role in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Proficiency in Visual Basic for MS Excel and Power BI. Knowledge of statistical concepts.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI, Phyton, ERP systems)
- Good communication skills
- Amenable to work on graveyard shift
