Production & operations manager (manufacturing)

Job Description

• Oversees Plant Operations and Production Efficiency

• Leads Maintenance, Quality Control, and Inventory Management

Implements preventive maintenance programs, manages spare parts inventory, and upgrades equipment as needed. Maintains high quality standards through testing, inspections, and effective feedback systems. Coordinates closely with supervisors on staffing and inventory of materials and finished goods.

• Drives Continuous Improvement, Safety, and Staff Engagement

Conducts regular meetings to review performance data, address issues, and promote operational improvements. Leads work improvement and safety programs to foster productivity, safety awareness, and employee involvement.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering or related field
• Master’s degree in Operations or Engineering Management, or Business Administration (preferred)

Experience:

• 10+ years in manufacturing, including 5 years in a leadership role within corrugated or paper industry
• Strong background in corrugator, converting, and finishing operations
• Experience in Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement
• Familiar with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards (a plus)

Skills:

• Expertise in production planning, machine efficiency, and waste reduction
• Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and KPI reporting
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills

Preferred Certifications:

• Lean Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt)
• PMP or Safety Officer (OSH/DOLE)
