Structural Engineer (Water Structures)

The Structural Engineer – Water Structures is responsible for the design, analysis, and structural calculation of water-related infrastructure, including drainage structures, culverts, water tanks, canals, and stormwater systems. The role involves performing structural load analysis, reinforcement design, and stability calculations to ensure safety, durability, and compliance with engineering standards.
The engineer will prepare structural drawings, design reports, and calculations, and coordinate with civil, drainage, and hydraulic engineers to support project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform structural design and calculations for water structures such as culverts, drainage channels, retaining walls, manholes, and water tanks.
- Prepare reinforced concrete design and structural analysis for water-related infrastructure.
- Review loads, soil conditions, and structural stability for underground and water-retaining structures.
- Develop structural drawings and details for construction.
- Ensure designs comply with engineering codes, safety standards, and project specifications.
- Coordinate with civil, hydraulic, and drainage engineers for integrated design solutions.
- Prepare engineering reports and structural calculation documents for project submissions.
- Conduct site inspections to verify structural work and construction compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with specialization in Structural Engineering.
- Experience in structural design for water structures or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete design and structural analysis.
- Familiar with structural design software and AutoCAD.
- Ability to prepare technical reports, structural calculations, and design documentation.
