An AU Tax Accountant is expected to:

• Assist with the preparation of financial statements by accounting standards
• Prepare clear and concise work papers as evidence of work performed
• Prepare management accounts
• Help identify accounting issues
• Apply basic Australian tax compliance procedures
• Assist with Australian tax planning for clients
• Prepare Australian income tax returns for individuals, companies, partnerships, and trusts
• Complete requisite regulatory forms
• Complies with the lodgement program by meeting lodgement dates and requirements

Qualifications/Requirements

What it takes to be part of our team:

• Business / Commerce degree with an Accounting major
• Commencement of CPA or equivalent
• 2-3 years of experience in Australian tax accounting (non-negotiable)
• Preferably with Xero experience
• Strong communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
