Net Pacific, Inc. is seeking a Design and Estimate Engineer – Auxiliary to join our Engineering team in a full-time capacity based in Taguig City, Metro Manila. This is a strategic position within our electrical and electronic engineering operations, where you will play a crucial role in designing auxiliary systems and providing accurate cost estimations for projects.Your work will directly support the successful delivery of complex engineering solutions and contribute to the company's competitive positioning in the market.
Key responsibilities
Design auxiliary electrical and electronic systems in accordance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
Prepare detailed design drawings, schematics, and technical documentation for auxiliary system components
Conduct thorough cost estimations and bill of materials (BOM) assessments for auxiliary systems and equipment
Perform calculations and simulations to validate design feasibility and system performance
Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to refine designs and optimise auxiliary system configurations
Review and analyse vendor quotations and specifications to ensure alignment with project requirements
Provide technical support during the tendering process and project implementation phases
Maintain comprehensive documentation of design changes, estimates, and engineering assessments
Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to clarify technical requirements and resolve design-related issues
Ensure all designs comply with safety standards, codes, and best practices within the electrical engineering industry
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related discipline- 5 years of professional experience in electrical or electronic design and engineering estimation
Strong proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, EPLAN, or equivalent CAD tools
Demonstrated experience with auxiliary system design, including HVAC controls, power distribution, or related subsystems
Solid understanding of electrical codes, standards, and regulatory requirements relevant to auxiliary systems
Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to technical detail
Competency in cost estimation methodologies and project budgeting processes
Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly to diverse stakeholders
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with project management tools
Professional Engineer (PE) licence or equivalent certification is preferred
Experience with building information modelling (BIM) or advanced simulation tools is advantageous
