Energy markets team lead

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking an experienced and strategic thinker to join our Energy Markets team as an Energy Markets Team Lead. You will serve as a key bridge between our operations, sales, and account management teams, ensuring we capitalize on market opportunities while managing risks effectively.

This role offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact on competitive positioning in the energy market, work with cutting-edge market data and analysis tools, and mentor a talented team of energy market professionals.

• Lead the production of service proposals, energy supplier tenders, and energy procurement proposals
• Develop and refine spreadsheet models for data analysis and decision support to drive strategic insights
• Enhance technological systems and tools to boost team productivity and efficiency
• Provide critical insights and recommendations to sales, account management, and other stakeholders regarding energy market trends, risks, and opportunities
• Serve as the principal operational contact with energy retailers for daily coordination and issue resolution
• Develop and implement energy market strategies in collaboration with senior management
• Support continuous improvement of processes, documentation, and quality standards (ISO 9001 compliance)
• Support the Director of Operations and broader operations team as needed
• Maintain compliance with all legal, statutory, and company policy requirements
• Embody organizational values and ethical standards in all professional interactions

Who You Are

• Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Master degree preferred

• Proven experience in energy market analysis and insights, preferably across multi-jurisdictions, and/or the Philippines
• Track record of working effectively in professional office environments
• Demonstrated experience in analyzing energy usage, demand factors, and market trends
• Experience leading teams and managing complex projects

• Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial modeling
• Advanced literacy, numeracy, and analytical capabilities
• Outstanding interpersonal skills with excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Strong time management and ability to meet tight deadlines consistently
• Flexibility and adaptability in responding to changing market conditions and business demands
• Ability to work effectively within multi-skilled teams and lead initiatives independently
• Comfort with navigating complex market dynamics and regulatory environments

Work Environment

This is a hybrid-based role in a fast-paced, office environment. Occasional travel to meetings, conferences, or market events may be required, but the majority of work is home/office-based.
