What is the role that we need? We are looking for SME Team Leader to join our team.
Position Summary
The SME Team Leader will manage the distribution of escalated JIRA tasks and ensure their timely completion. They will audit activities, carry out everyday tasks as needed, and provide performance reports for leaders and clients. The manager will train and assess team members, oversee improvement initiatives, and hold frequent meetings with the team and clients.Additionally, they will assist the entire Manila team, serve as a backup for supervisors, and provide extra training for analysts. This role also involves participating in personal and professional development activities.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage a balanced on escalated JIRA task assignments to the Research Micro team
- Oversee task completion within agreed cycle time for the Research Micro team
- Complete required performance reports of the Research Micro team to be presented to the next level supervisor/s and clients.
- Manage performance of individual team members through regular coaching, feedback and evaluation.
- Lead improvement projects and activities within or outside the Research Micro team.
- Lead activities to support the whole client organization, as assigned.
- Conduct regular meetings with the Research Micro team and with clients.
- Conduct quality audits of tasks completed by the Senior Research Analyst 2.
- Perform usual operations and tasks as a Senior Research Analyst 2 when needed.
- Act as next level escalation for complex tasks unresolved by the Research Micro team.
- Act as back-up for immediate supervisor or Curation Team Leader, as needed.
- Conduct additional training for analysts, as required by Training Lead.
- Other activities for personal and career development, as assigned.
- Bachelor's/College Degree in a relevant field.
- At least 3 years of experience in a research or related role.
- Proven experience in team and project management.
- Strong understanding of data management and information security practices.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Proficient in the use of JIRA and other relevant tools.
- Proficient in reading and comprehending information to determine its relevance.
- Highly skilled in analyzing and manipulating spreadsheet data (e.g., Google Sheets).
- Internet savvy.
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing processes.
- Motivated, proactive, and driven to achieve objectives.
- Analytical, organized, and results-oriented.
- Knowledgeable in best practice security frameworks, risk assessment methodologies, industry-recognized IT audit and controls standards, and other industry resources.
