QC INSPECTOR
Job Overview: The Quality Control (QC) Employee is responsible for ensuring that products meet the required quality standards. This role involves inspecting, testing, and documenting quality parameters to ensure the company’s products are free from defects and meet internal and external regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Inspection:
- Inspect and test products at various stages of production to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Identify defects and inconsistencies and report them to the production team for correction.
- Quality Testing:
- Perform regular and periodic tests on materials, components, and finished products using various testing equipment and methods.
- Record and report test results, providing detailed feedback to relevant teams.
- Documenting Findings:
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections, tests, and outcomes to ensure traceability and compliance.
- Update and manage QC documentation to ensure it is always up to date.
- Collaboration with Production Teams:
- Work closely with the production team to ensure proper quality control procedures are followed.
- Assist in troubleshooting quality issues and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
- Compliance with Standards:
- Ensure all QC activities are in line with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Ensure products comply with customer specifications and legal requirements.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas for improvement in the quality control process.
- Provide suggestions for reducing waste and improving product quality.
- Audits and Inspections:
- Participate in internal and external quality audits and inspections.
- Prepare and provide necessary documentation for audits and reviews.
- Equipment Maintenance:
- Ensure proper functioning and calibration of QC equipment and tools.
- Report any malfunctioning or damaged equipment for repair or replacement.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong integrity and ethical standards to ensure accurate and honest reporting of test results, inspections, and product quality.
- High school graduate but a college degree is preferred.
- Proven experience in quality control or a similar role in manufacturing or production.
- Strong knowledge of quality control procedures, inspection methods, and tools.
- Attention to detail and the ability to identify defects or inconsistencies.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
- Ability to lift materials of reasonable weight
- Comfortable working in a production environment with some exposure to noise, machinery, and other typical conditions.
