Pharmacist (general)

Job Description

1. Recording of prescription containing prohibited and regulated drugs in the dangerous drug book.
2. In-charge in monitoring the inventory and requisition of dangerous drugs.
3. Reporting of exempt regulated and dangerous drugs
4. Purchasing of blank yellow prescriptions for physician at BFAD.
5. Follows-up S2 and PTR numbers from physicians.
6. Helps when needed and maybe assigned to performs such other functions that are necessary for the smooth running of the department.
7. Filling and dispensing prescription and non-prescription medications/drugs for in-patient, out-patient, requisition from physicians, hospital employees, and other department in the hospital.
8. Assists in preparing printed in-patients requests from different nursing care units and special areas with accordance to the guidelines.
9. Receives stocks and signs logbook from the stockroom clerk.
10. Displays all medicines to the shelves taken from the warehouse and responsible for the cleanliness of the shelves assigned to her/him and the monitoring of the expiry dates of drugs in those shelves according to pull out policy.
11. May act as checker when assigned:
12. Monitoring of temperature for all refrigerators in the main pharmacy.
13. Carries out the responsibility endorsed by the previous shift.
14. Answers all telephone inquiries.

Qualifications/Requirements

Qualification:

• Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Pharmacist
• Registered Pharmacist in the Philippines
• No experience is required
• Willing to be trained
• Good work ethics
• Can start ASAP
