Quality Assurance Specialist - Plant Hygine

Job Summary:

The Quality Assurance Specialist – Plant Hygiene may also act as Deputy Food Safety Team Leader of the facility.

Position Requirements:

• Graduate of BS Chemistry, Biology, Food Technology, Biochemistry or other related course
• Preferably with 6 months experience in quality assurance or quality control laboratory from a Food/Beverage Industry, Pharmaceutical Industry
• Preferably with experience working in an FMCG company
• Fresh Graduates are welcome to apply
• Willing to be assigned in Laguna

1. Quality Assurance

• Audits and reports manufacturing operation’s conformance to established standard specifications.
• Performs process audits to verify compliance of critical parameters related to quality, reports verification results to process owners and follows thru actions as deemed necessary.

• Ensures the control and management of non-conforming products and materials in accordance to defined standard procedures
• Ensures the implementation of hygienic zoning and environmental monitoring program in all areas of the plant
• Performs audits to verify compliance of Process and Production against the Standard Operating Procedures on Quality and Food Safety, Safety & Health and Environmental Sustainability. Reports verification results to process owners and follows thru actions as deemed necessary
• Obtains certification as “Certified Sensory Panelist” and performs sensory evaluation of applicable incoming ingredients, in-process samples and products ensuring that good sensory practices are implemented at all times.
• Participates in Sensory Panelist Proficiency Testing program ensuring that satisfactory rating is achieved. Acts on opportunities for improvement as suggested by the Proficiency result.

1. Change Management

• Ensures that changes are captured in the Change Management Program
• Follows Validation Protocol
• Updates existing Programs, Work Instructions or SOP to capture changes
• Facilitates communication with stakeholders on identified opportunities captured in CMP

1. Resource Management

• Ensures that hygiene services are effective and within schedule.
• Maintains inventory of hygiene equipment and enablers are within acceptable level and can support the operation

1. Continuous Improvement

• Attends to audits and make available records and information to demonstrate compliance
• Provides inputs to RCA, CAP and other Continuous Improvement Initiatives
• Conducts training on Hygiene for employee, NCR and visitors
• Accomplishes identified training for capability building and skills development
