Assistant Accounting Manage

The Assistant Accounting Manager supports the Accounting Manager in overseeing daily accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial records. This role assists in the preparation of financial reports, compliance with regulatory requirements, and implementation of internal controls.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements and management reports
• Supervise and support accounting staff in daily transactions and month-end closing activities
• Ensure accuracy of general ledger entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Monitor compliance with internal policies, tax regulations, and audit requirements
• Coordinate with external auditors, banks, and government agencies as needed
• Review accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll-related transactions
• Help identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and control systems
• Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Accounting Manager or Finance Head

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or related field
• Preferably a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), but not always required depending on company policy
• At least 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience
• Experience in supervisory or senior accounting role is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
• Proficient in accounting systems and MS Excel
• Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills
• High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
