Legal Administrative Assistant - Work From Home | Day shift
The Legal Administrative Assistant will support the company by providing day-to-day administrative and paralegal-style support across high-volume legal matters, particularly insolvency and winding-up processes. This role will assist with legal correspondence, document preparation, court filing support, matter administration, workflow coordination, and general legal team support while working within established internal procedures and maintaining strong accuracy, organisation, and attention to detail.
- Provide day-to-day administrative and paralegal-style support to lawyers and partners.
- Assist with high-volume insolvency matters, particularly winding-up processes, in line with well-established internal procedures.
- Prepare standard legal correspondence, notices, and letters using templates and precedents.
- Bundle, collate, paginate, and organise legal documents for court filings and client correspondence.
- Distribute documents and correspondence to clients, courts, and other stakeholders as required.
- Manage matter files, ensuring documents are accurately saved, named, and filed.
- Assist with invoice processing, payment coordination, and basic matter-related financial administration.
- Support workflow and process management across different stages of legal matters.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with internal processes, timeframes, and deadlines.
- Provide general administrative support to the legal team as required.
- Work within established systems and processes while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- Other position-level duties as they arise.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Legal Studies, Business Administration, or a related discipline is beneficial but not essential.
- Previous experience in legal administration, paralegal support, professional services administration, or a similar administrative support role is desirable but not essential.
- Exposure to a law firm environment, particularly insolvency, recoveries, litigation, or high-volume legal matters, is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes accurately.
- Comfortable working in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational, filing, and document management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general office systems, with the ability to learn legal practice software quickly.
- Ability to manage repetitive process-driven tasks with consistency, accuracy, and care.
- Positive and proactive attitude with a strong willingness to learn and grow within the role.
- Reliable, consistent, and genuinely interested in building a long-term role within the firm.
- Highly organised and process-oriented.
- Calm, methodical, and dependable under pressure.
- Willingness to take direction and work within established systems and procedures.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to producing quality work.
