About the role
We are seeking a Mine Planner - Licensed Mining Engineer to join our team in Ortigas, Pasig City, Metro Manila on a full-time basis. This is a strategic position within our Mining Engineering & Maintenance division, where you will be responsible for the development and optimisation of mining operational plans.As Mine Planner, you will play a critical role in ensuring that mining activities are conducted safely, efficiently and in compliance with all regulatory requirements. Your expertise will directly influence the profitability and sustainability of our mining operations, making this a position of significant importance within the organisation.
What you'll be doing- Develop and maintain comprehensive mine plans that outline extraction sequences, resource allocation and operational timelines
- Conduct geological assessments and resource modelling to support strategic mining decisions
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on mining operations, productivity metrics and project progress for senior management
- Collaborate with engineering, geology and operations teams to ensure alignment between mine plans and operational execution
- Monitor and analyse mining performance data to identify opportunities for operational improvement and cost optimisation
- Ensure all mining plans comply with relevant legislation, mining codes and environmental regulations
- Conduct risk assessments on proposed mining activities and recommend mitigation strategies
- Provide technical guidance and support to operational teams on the implementation of mining plans
- Participate in feasibility studies and evaluations for new mining projects or expansions
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and emerging technologies in mine planning
- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a related engineering discipline
- Current and valid Mining Engineer's licence issued by the appropriate regulatory body
- Minimum 5 years' professional experience in mine planning or mining operations
- Proficiency in mine planning software and tools (such as Vulcan, Whittle, Minesight or similar)
- Strong understanding of geological principles, ore body modelling and resource estimation
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data
- Comprehensive knowledge of mining legislation, safety regulations and environmental compliance requirements
- Demonstrated experience in project management and stakeholder engagement
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Professional certifications in mine planning, safety management or related fields are highly desirable
- Experience in mining operations within the Asia-Pacific region is advantageous
