We are looking for a skilled and proactive Systems Administrator (REMOTE) to manage and maintain our server and cloud infrastructure. This role is responsible for ensuring system reliability, performance, security, and scalability across both on-premise and cloud environments.The ideal candidate has strong experience in system administration, cloud platforms (AWS), and modern infrastructure tools, and can work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support efficient deployment and operations.
Key Responsibilities- Manage, maintain, and optimize server environments (Linux/Unix and/or Windows Server).
- Administer and monitor cloud infrastructure in AWS, ensuring high availability, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
- Support containerized environments using Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
- Assist in the setup and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Monitor system performance, configure alerts, and troubleshoot issues using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, and CloudWatch.
- Manage and optimize databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
- Implement and enforce security best practices, including access control, data protection, and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and support teams to ensure smooth deployment and system operations.
- Respond to system incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
- Continuously improve system performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in system administration, server management, or infrastructure support.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience managing AWS environments, preferably in a SaaS setup.
- Strong experience with Linux/Unix and/or Windows Server administration.
- Proficient in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, CloudFront, VPC, IAM, and CloudWatch.
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes) is an advantage.
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes and infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Ansible).
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (DNS, load balancing, VPNs, firewalls).
- Experience in database management (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Knowledge of monitoring and alerting tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, CloudWatch).
- Strong understanding of security best practices and compliance standards.
- Willing to be on-call for urgent issues.
- Demonstrates professionalism, teamwork, and the ability to handle high-pressure situations.
- Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement, cost optimization, and issue prevention.
