Inventory Clerk

The Inventory Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate records of all school supplies, materials, and equipment. The role ensures proper monitoring, documentation, safekeeping, and reporting of all school assets to support efficient inventory control and accountability within the institution.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Maintain and update inventory records of all school properties, supplies, and equipment.
2. Receive, inspect, and record all incoming deliveries of supplies and materials.
3. Monitor issuance and distribution of office and school supplies.
4. Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconciliation with records.
5. Report discrepancies, losses, damages, or shortages to immediate supervisor.
6. Ensure proper labeling, tagging, and safekeeping of school assets.
7. Assist in asset tracking and property accountability reporting.
8. Prepare inventory reports (monthly, quarterly, or as required).
9. Coordinate with departments regarding supply needs and usage.
10. Support audit and compliance requirements related to school property and inventory.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Office Administration, or related field (preferred)
• Knowledge in inventory management or basic accounting is an advantage
• Proficient in MS Excel and basic computer applications
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Honest, reliable, and able to handle school property responsibly
• Good communication and coordination skills
