Equipment Maintenance Supervisor

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic failures.
Interpret mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic diagrams for troubleshooting.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.
Drive lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and plant layout planning activities.
Apply and uphold QMS (ISO 9001), EMS/EHS (ISO 14001), and safety standards.
Coach developing engineers and technicians on equipment requirements.
Demonstrate leadership, manage change, and motivate team members.
Decide on task prioritization and lead the team to meet schedules.
Delegate tasks to cross-functional teams.
Gather inputs and results from cross-functional groups for critical decisions.
Prepare technical reports and conduct presentations.
Communicate effectively and manage stakeholder expectations, negotiations, and persuasion.
Conduct strategic planning and crisis management when equipment issues arise.
Provide process knowledge and define inputs, outputs, and equipment requirements.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, or Industrial Engineering
3–5 years experience as an Equipment Maintenance Engineer
Expertise in equipment maintenance processes and technical accessories
Experience in maintenance strategy design, fault response, inspections, and spare parts management
Ability to ensure continuous equipment coverage
Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic drawings
Familiarity with stamping, molding, plating, and assembly machines
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts clearly
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Leadership experience in managing teams and delivering results
Familiarity with succession planning and long-term employee development
Solid understanding of safety regulations and practices
Computer literate (MS Office, email, communication tools)
