PC Game Tester (QA Engineer)

Work Location: Cyberscape Alpha, Ortigas Center, Pasig City (On‑site)

What is your mission?

We are looking for a Game Tester to design and execute test plans for mobile and web applications, including gaming apps. You’ll perform manual and API testing, validate backend data, troubleshoot issues using cloud platforms and proxy tools, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to ensure high-quality releases and exceptional user experiences.

You will provide the best service to our partner brands by performing these tasks:

• Design, develop, and execute test plans, cases, and scenarios for mobile and web applications.
• Perform regression, sanity, smoke, exploratory, functional, end-to-end, and stress testing.
• Conduct API testing and validate backend data using SQL or Java.
• Use test management and defect tracking tools for documentation and reporting.
• Monitor logs and troubleshoot issues using cloud platforms and proxy tools.
• Participate in Agile development processes (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives).
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams (developers, business analysts, clients).
• Review customer support issues via Zendesk and perform exploratory testing around live issues.
• Test mobile and gaming apps, including sideloading builds and retrieving logs from devices.
• Provide creative feedback to improve gaming experiences.
• Lead or mentor junior QA team members.

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of QA experience with mobile or PC game testing and manual testing methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of SQL or Java for backend validation and experience with API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI).
• Proficiency in mobile device testing (iOS & Android), including sideloading builds and retrieving logs.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub), test management tools (Jira, Azure DevOps), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with Charles Proxy for log monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Ability to perform exploratory, regression, smoke, functional, and stress testing in Agile environments.
• Certifications in software testing or Agile and experience in test automation scripting (Python, Java, C#) are a plus.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills; regular gamer preferred.
